The Atascadero Kiwanis Club is putting together their team for this year’s Relay for Life and are working on their fundraising efforts. This will be their first year holding a Poker Night Fundraiser. All proceeds form the event will support the Local American Cancer Society and top players and runner ups will receive a variety of prizes. Sunbuggy Fun Rentals has gladly donated a riding experience to this fundraiser as a prize and to help raise money!
Sunnyslope Booster Club
The Booster Club of Sunnyslope Elementary School are planning several events throughout the 2015-2016 school year. To help raise money for school field trips, classroom supplies, story playground equipment and much more, they will be holding a silent auction on April 28th, 2016, which Sunbuggy Fun Rentals has gladly donated a riding experience to! Bandon Golf for Health Classic
Southern Coos Health Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded nine years ago to raise funds in support of patient care and access to healthcare services at their hospital. Highlights of their 2016 goals include: Scholarships for students pursuing health-related careers, early cancer detection fund, which offers free screening services to men and women, medical equipment for their surgery, emergency room, and medical-surgical floor and community health education, charity care and continuing education for healthcare for professionals.
On July 15, 2016, the Southern Coos Health Foundation will be holding their 9th annual Bandon Golf for Health Classic at the beautiful Bandon Crossings Golf Course. This is their largest fundraiser of the year, having raised over $30,000 back in 2015 from sponsors, business donors and golfers. Most significantly, they applied these funds from last year’s tournament proceeds toward the purchase of a state-of-the-art automated medication management system, which significantly streamlines prescription processes, benefiting patients with faster service and fewer errors.
Since they’ve publicize statewide, this event attracts up to 250 people including 144 golfers who participate in a four-person scramble. They start it all off with a sponsor’s appreciation party and live and silent auction on Friday evening and continue Saturday morning with a continental breakfast and tournament with includes a $25k hole in one contest, a skillful $1 million dollar shot, and concluding the evening with an awards BBQ, a raffle and live auction.

UNLVino 42nd Annual Wine Tasting
Prior to graduation from the UNLV Hospitality Management program, event and culinary students are required to design and operate a special event with a charity component. This year, the 2016 class will help plan one of the most prestigious culinary events in Las Vegas – UNLVino. Now in their 42nd year, UNLVino is Nevada’s original wine festival. Over the three days, they will showcase an array of international foods and beverages and continue Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada’s mission to raise millions of scholarship dollars for students of UNLV’s William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration. One of the most important fundraising components to UNLVino is their silent auction, which will end on April 16th, 2016 which Sunbuggy Fun Rentals has proudly donated a ride experience to to help raise the proceeds to create scholarships for UNLV Hospitality students.
The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA)
The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis. It was founded in 1967 by Irwin M. and Suzanne Rosenthal, William D. and Shelby Modell, and Henry D. Janowitz, M.D.
Since their founding over four decades ago, CCFA has remained at the forefront of research in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Today, they fund cutting-edge studies at major medical institutions, nurture investigators at the early stages of their careers, and finance underdeveloped areas of research. In addition, their educational workshops and programs, along with their scientific journal, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, enable medical professionals to keep pace with this rapidly growing field. They are very proud that the National Institutes of Health has commended them for “uniting the research community and strengthening IBD research.”
On Saturday, May 14, 2016, the CCFA will be ramping up one of their biggest fundraising events, “Take Steps: Walk at Mountain’s Edge Exploration Peak Park”. This event will be holding a raffle that Sunbuggy Fun Rentals has proudly donated a riding experience to in order to help raise donations to this non-profit organization.
2016 New Teacher Onboarding Kickoff
The Clark County School District’s Employee Onboarding and Development Department of the Human Resources Unit is sponsoring a 2016 New Teacher Onboarding Kickoff. This event will take place at the South Point Hotel and Casino on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 and will provide exciting opportunities for 2600 school teachers new to the Clark County School District to share ideas, network with colleagues, and receive training outside of the normal work environment.

Ragin Cajun Bayou Blowout
For over 56 years Meals-on-Wheels Greater San Diego, Inc. has contributed to the overall well being of seniors by providing regular nutrition and daily contact with a caring volunteer. The impact that Meals-on-Wheels has on the seniors they serve goes far beyond the wholesome meals provided. Daily friendly contact also provides important socialization for those who may be isolated with little or no connection to the outside world. Lives are often saved in the course of delivering meals when a person does not respond to a knock on the door, has fallen or may have become ill. With an increase in the 65+ age category over the next 20 years by 72%, our seniors are in need of support now more than ever.
On Saturday, June 11, 2016, Meals-on-Wheels will be hosting their largest annual fundraising event of the year, The Ragin’ Cajun Bayou Blowout at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina. There, they will be holding a live and silent auction to help raise money to support San Diego’s seniors and beat their last fundraising record of $215,000. This event will also feature 10+ renowned chefs from San Diego competing for the “Chefy” Award in the 7th annual Chef Appetizer Competition. The Ragin Cajun Bayou Blowout is anticipating to have over 400 quests to help raise funds for San Diego seniors.
