- “Friends of Oceano Dunes“: The Friends of Oceano Dunes is a California Not-for-Profit Public Benefit Corporation comprised of citizens and business representatives who enjoy the benefits of Public Access and usage of the Oceano Dunes State Vehicle Recreation Area (ODSVRA). They bring in many people who enjoy the Oceano Dunes in a cohesive organization that can promote and reinforce responsible recreation. This will be accomplished by developing a large network of FRIENDS and collecting donations. They support ALL forms of responsible recreation and we will work to ensure continued access to the ODSVRA.
- “Christopher Meadows Memorial EMS Education Fund“: This fund was created to honor the memory of Christopher Meadows, an emergency medical technician from San Luis Obispo, CA. who was killed May 24, 2009, in an ATV accident while he was responding to a medical call at Oceano Dunes. The fund awards annual scholarships to paramedic and EMT schools for EMS workers in the Central California area.
