Dartmouth Middle School Music Program

Dartmouth Middle School Home & School Club in collaboration with the school’s outstanding Music Program is getting ready for its biggest fundraiser of the year, the annual Family Comedy Night and Silent Auction on April 20th, 2018, in support of Dartmouth Middle School’s music program. They expect over 300 people to participate in the event.

SunBuggy is happy to donate to the auction, a 1 hour tour in one of our 2-seat dune buggies.

Nevada Recreation & Park Society Annual Conference “Beyond the Lights”

The Nevada Recreation and Park Society (NRPS) is a non-profit professional organization offering membership to all individuals concerned with helping promote parks and recreation in the state of Nevada.

Originally organized in 1955, the NRPS membership has grown to include professionals, interested citizens and students in the parks and recreation field.  This year’s statewide conference is entitled “Beyond the Lights.”  The conference will take place April 17-18, 2018 at the Casablanca Resort in Mesquite, Nevada.

Junior League of Las Vegas – 15th Annual Paint the Town Red Gala

Junior League of Las Vegas is proud to honor Deni Conrad and Dr. Keith Boman.  The Junior League of Las Vegas will host its 15th annual fundraising gala at the Venetian Las Vegas on Saturday, April 14th, 2018. This year, JLLV will honor Deni Conrad with our Lifetime Community Achievement Award and Dr. Keith Boman with our Florence Lee Jones Humanitarian Award.

Junior League supports the Las Vegas Community in the form of countless volunteer hours as well as funding.  Some of their major projects include the funding of an Education Coordinator and an Activities Coordinator at the Shannon West Center for Homeless Youth, leading Girl Scout Troops for underprivileged girls, and providing grants for teachers to use for supplies in our underfunded schools.

Eileen B. Brookman Elementary School Annual Carnival

The Annual Spring Carnival for Brookman Elementary School is scheduled for Friday, April 13th, 2018.  Each year the carnival, sponsored by the school’s PTA, uses this event as a community “thank you” to the students and their families, the teachers and administration, and the community at large for all the support that makes Brookman a wonderful place for our children.  Funds raised during the event are held within the PTA budget and are used to purchase school supplies and fund other events throughout the school year to benefit the children and their families.

American Legion – Rock the Troops XIV

The 14th Annual Rock the Troops poker run, raising money to help military members and veterans in our community.  Begins and Ends at The Leatherneck Club

The men and women of the American Legion Paradise Post 149 are proud of their efforts as a community based organization.  Unlike other similar organizations, most of their time is working in the community, or raising money so that they can give it away.

Kiwanis of Neon Lights – 3rd Annual Novel Event & Champagne Brunch

On Saturday, March 24 2018, Kiwanis of Neon Lights will hold the 3rd Annual Novel Event and Champagne Brunch at Las Vegas Country Club in partnership with Vegas PBS Ready to Learn.

Over the past year, A Novel Event and Champagne Brunch has grown into a wonderful event filled with great FUNDRAISING, Authors and lots of FUN.  Please invite your friends and followers to join you for a champagne brunch and a private meet-n-greet with 3 local authors. Our highlighted authors range from your fun romp through the afterlife to a tumultuous Cinderella journey for Toni Pacini growing up in Alabama to Dale Rowe’s behind the scenes look at the White House during the Nixon era.  Of course, this year will be even more spectacular with our lovable steampunk trilogy emcee, Sean Hoade. Tickets are now available for $50/person by clicking on the link below. All proceeds from this event will support the Vegas PBS Ready to Learn reading literacy program for at-risk families in our valley.

Mondays Dark Benefiting Miracle Flights

MONDAYS DARK IS VEGAS’ NIGHT TO GIVE BACK.

Twice a month Mark Shunock gathers an eclectic cast of guests including stars from Hollywood, the Las Vegas Strip, musical acts, athletes, and celebrity chefs for 90 minutes of chat, entertainment – and a lot of laughs. It’s mission is to raise $10,000 in 90 minutes!

 On March 5, 2018, Miracle Flights will be the charity of choice to benefit from the show. Founded in 1985, Miracle Flights has grown into a national nonprofit flying children and their families to specialized medical care they need to get well. Funds raised will stay here in southern Nevada to help our local families who need to reach distant specialized care.

7th Annual Bonner Run for Education

The 7th Annual Bonner Run for Education is on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018. It’ll be a fun day for the whole family, which includes a silent auction, a raffle, face painting, food and prizes! We hope to see all of our families and community partners there!

MONDAYS DARK IS VEGAS’ NIGHT TO GIVE BACK.
Twice a month Mark Shunock gathers an eclectic cast of guests including stars from Hollywood, the Strip, musical acts, athletes, and celebrity chefs for 90 minutes of chat, entertainment – and a lot of laughs. Since 2013, Mondays Dark has partnered with over 30 local charities. It’s mission is to raise 10k in 90 minutes. The $20 variety show has become one of the hottest tickets in town and the list of charities waiting to partner with Mondays Dark continues to grow. Mondays Dark has raised over $500,000 and every penny has stayed here in Las Vegas with each of it’s featured charities.

The 28th annual Leigh High Crab Feed will be held February 3rd at Leigh High School; hosted by the Leigh Performing Arts Parents Association (PAPA).

This event is a cherished tradition for Leigh High School and the local community. The evening highlights great food, incredible live music from Leigh High musicians, and roving thespians making “Crabby” come to life. An amazing Silent Auction will be running with thousands of dollars in items up for bid including sports tickets, getaways, and vacation home stays.

The “All You Can Eat” Crab Feed dinner features Fresh Dungeness Crab (or Chicken Picatta), Anti-Pasto platter, Cheese Plate, Rice Pilaf, Mixed Green Salad, Garlic Bread, Dessert, Soft Drinks, Coffee and Tea for $50 per person/ticket.

Proceeds benefit the performing arts programs at Leigh High School including four instrumental ensembles, choral ensembles, technical theatre program, Drama showcases, Fall Play, Spring Musical, and the award winning Marching Band. Thank you to all the wonderful donors who have given so generously to the Crab Feed!
